I've always been a curious person, continually experimenting with different mediums. For over 30 years, I was a successful artist specializing in one-of-a-kind art dolls and figurative sculptures made from polymer clay. When the world paused in 2020, I decided to pivot and explore a medium that had always intrigued me—glass cloisonné and jewelry design.

This ancient technique, which I like to think of as “painting with glass,” involves bending thin ribbons of silver wire to create small cells that are then filled with colored powdered glass enamel. The piece is fired multiple times to melt the enamel into a glossy surface, then smoothed and polished to reveal the final artwork.

In addition to my glasswork, I also create one-of-a-kind jewelry from metal clay, using my own custom-designed stamps to make unique impressions.

My work is available at One 10 Gallery in Frederic, WI, and Northwest Passage Gallery in Webster, WI.
